Paul's Command to "Fight the Good Fight"
There was a period of time when the militant passages of the New Testament were spoken of frequently. Sadly, they were rarely explained. A closer look at Paul's command to "fight the good fight" shows us that Paul wasn't telling Timothy to change the world through activism, but urging him to "lay hold of eternal life." The path to heaven is a struggle, and every man, woman, and child is commanded to enter into that struggle and "fight" for heaven.
