1 Timothy 5:21-25
Paul urges Timothy not to move hastily in choosing elders.
As Paul continues to advise Timothy on the government of the church, he reminds him that error and sin can be subtle. For this reason the church must not be hasty in selecting officers, a matter in which mistakes can be deadly to the church.
