1 Timothy 5:19-21
Paul applies two principles of church discipline to elders: due process and public rebuke.
One of the distinguishing marks of a biblical church is discipline. In this passage, Paul takes two important principles of discipline, due process and public rebuke, and applies them to the case of elders who sin. In considering these principles we can see how discipline accomplishes much good in the church, particularly the greater glory of Christ.
